A few months ago, the lead actors Shehzada Dhami and Pratiksha Honmukhe were replaced by Rohit Purohi and Garvita Sadhwani. Now, the show is in the spotlight again with actor Romit Raaj stepping in to replace Shivam Khajuria.
When Indian Express reached out to Shivam Khajuria for his comments, he clarified that there was no controversy surrounding his exit. Shivam explained, “Rajan Sir had informed me about the replacement, I knew Rohit’s character was going to re-enter the show again. I couldn’t continue because there is something better coming up, I cannot reveal much as of now. Once there is clarity, I will speak about what happened and why it happened. It is all for good.”
Romit Raaj has already started shooting for his role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Shivam, who previously had significant screen time with the lead actors, hinted at another project with Rajan Shahi. In an earlier statement to Times Now, he mentioned that he had no confirmation from the production house about his involvement in the new show and would be able to comment further after a few days.
Romit Raaj is a well-known television actor with a repertoire that includes popular shows like Hatim, Shaka Laka Boom Boom, and Adaalat. His addition to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is expected to bring fresh excitement to the series as it continues its storied run.
